The Bear & Bee is a used and new bookstore in North Adams, Massachusetts. We opened in June of 2021. We carry used and new books of all kinds, with particular emphasis on art; health; environment and nature; social justice; feminism; queer issues; science fiction and general fiction; local history and guides; great books for kids and young adults; as well as cards, gifts, puzzles, and more.

Rainbow Seniors of Berkshire County is a program serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender seniors and their allies who live in Berkshire County, Massachusetts with a focus on those 60+. Adults of all generations are welcome to attend the majority of our activities. Rainbow Seniors of Berkshire County was founded in 2016 by Ed Sedarbaum and nurtured from 2017 to June 2022 by M Florence Hall. A six-member Steering Committee supports the work of a part-time coordinator, to be named later in 2022.
Rainbow Seniors provides activities and services in North, Central, and South County in safe and secure spaces where everyone’s privacy will be respected. Programs are offered weekly; some are in-person, others on Zoom.
